Type design: Yade

“Yade” was created as part of my bachelor’s project for a book of my own poems. During the development of the typeface, my former typography lecturer Stefan Claudius advised me via e-mail. In my bachelor’s thesis, I looked at how letterforms affect the emotions of a person reading. The insights I gained served as the cornerstone for my typeface design. I am currently revising the typeface, so the former Regular, Regular Italic and Semibold weights no longer fit together. For this reason, only the Semibold style is shown here in its most current form.
